THE MONTESSORI PHILOSOPHY
Each child is unique. Montessori practical approach allows children to work independently, at their own pace and making choices.
“Follow the child” is a famous term used by Montessori. It means to closely observe the child’s interests and natural tendencies, through observation and relationship building. In a practical way, when following the child, we are taking time to get to know this child.
When watching and listening to children, we identify valued information of their interests and development, we know where children are and how they can be guided and supported through the following steps of learning and development.
Through practical and stimulating hands on activities, repetition, and freedom to move, to choose and to explore the environment, within limits, children will develop.
